My name is Andrew Hyatt and I am currently a senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, studying historic preservation with a minor in architectural history. I have experience in technical hands on methods of preservation, advocacy, education, and documentation. By participating in two internships, with Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation and currently with Savannah Construction and Preservation, LLC., I am continuously learning more methods of promoting and executing preservation principles.

As an emerging preservation professional, I seek to create an environment of recognizing and saving buildings, neighborhoods, and cities that are historically and architecturally significant through making historic preservation more accessible to the public. Since beginning work in the field in 2012 by assisting a neighbor restore their historic 1833 home, I continue to learn and apply techniques and information through my studies at SCAD.
